The Classic 30/112 has been redesigned with an all-new chassis design, but still features the distinctive sound and circuitry of the renowned Classic Series amps. The Peavey classic 30 uses a magic combination of tubes to get it's rich warm tones. You just can't get theses guitar sounds with any solid state circuitry, you have to use tubes. The peavey classic 30 uses 12AX7 tubes for the pre-amp section and the power section uses EL84 tubes. The EL84 tube section can get some great overdrive when you drive the tubes hard and it doesn't take much to do it. This tube combination is the secret to the Peavey classic 30's great sounds.
